Privacy, in plain language
The short version: we want your bill's numbers, not your identity. Here's exactly what happens when you email us.
What we receive
Your email with the bill photo attached, plus whatever you typed into the form (pet type and city). That's it — no accounts, no tracking pixels, no analytics on who you are.
What happens on receipt
- We read the line items — procedure names, amounts, dates, city, animal.
- Personal details are stripped immediately — your name, address, phone number, email address, and anything else identifying on the bill. Gone before anything is stored.
- The original photo is deleted after the numbers are extracted. We keep amounts, not images.
- What's kept is anonymous: procedure, amounts, city, animal. Nothing that points back to you.
What gets published
- Aggregates only. Median, typical range, lowest/highest seen, and the number of bills counted.
- Nothing publishes below 5 bills for a procedure. Fewer than that, and the numbers stay private until more arrive.
- Never attributed to a clinic or a person. This isn't a review site — no naming, no shaming, no individual bills shown.
Your email address
Used only to reply to you — a quote-check verdict, or a question about a blurry line item. Never shared, never sold, never added to a marketing list. Want your bill and email deleted entirely? Reply with "delete" and it's gone.
What we don't do
- No selling data. There is no business model in which your information is the product.
- No clinic partnerships that could bias the numbers.
- No publishing a bill that could identify you, even "anonymized" — the 5-bill minimum exists for exactly this reason.
