Launching now · every bill welcome

The bill says $1,200.
Was it fair?

Your mechanic, your vet, your dentist quoted a number — and nobody can tell you if it was fair, because nobody publishes what people actually paid. PaidWhat is fixing that: real bills, redacted and averaged, by category and city. No estimates. No industry ranges.

Free forever. Email us a photo of your bill — it takes a minute, and your name never appears anywhere.

Redacted by defaultNames, addresses, phone numbers — stripped from every bill before anything is stored.
Originals deletedEach photo is deleted after the numbers are read. We keep amounts, not images.
Nothing under 5 billsNo procedure publishes until at least 5 real bills back it up. No guessing.

How it works

Three steps. Less time than finding parking.

You email your bill

Paid invoice, estimate, or quote — snap a photo, attach it to an email, hit send. No account, no app.

We read & redact

Line items become structured numbers; personal details are removed; the original photo is deleted. What remains is anonymous.

Everyone sees real actuals

Median, typical range, and sample size — by category and city. Never tied to a business or a person.

Honest status · October 2026

The dataset is empty — and that's on purpose.

We're just launching, so there are no bill-backed actuals to show you yet. Two kinds of numbers will live here, and they're never mixed: bill-backed actuals — medians and ranges computed from real emailed bills, published only at 5+ bills; and community mentions — things people said they paid in public discussions, shown individually with source links, labeled unverified, never averaged into anything.

If you've paid any bill in the last year — vet, auto repair, dental, anything — yours could be among the first data points for your city. Email us your bill — early bills are the dataset, and we'd rather say it plainly than fake it.

Got a quote sitting in your inbox right now?

Email it to us before you pay. We'll check it against real paid bills as the data arrives — and tell you honestly where things stand.
